Edo State government has dissolve boards and political appointments in the state a day after inauguration.
The dissolution was made public by Hon. Fred Itua on Wednesday afternoon, November 13,2024 on the governor’s X official handle.
Hours after suspending the collection of revenue in the state, the state government went ahead to dissolve the entire public/civil service and political appointees in the state.
“All Permanent Secretaries appointed from outside the State Public/Civil Service and all Political Appointees are hereby relieved of their appointments,” the statement read.
Accordingly to the statement, all affected appointees are to handover all Government properties in their possession to the most senior Public Officer in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The people of Edo State will be expecting the state government to make appointments in the various Departments, Ministries and Agencies soon.
