A lady constantly cried out for help on different social media platforms as she claimed that a certain Mr. Jato, who is a teacher at the Federal government girls’ College in Benin City, had allegedly sexually assaulted her younger sister, who is just eleven years old and is a JSS1 student. She further stated that she attended the same school some years ago and knows Mr. Jato to be an alleged pedophile.

The lady asks that Nigerians shouldn’t allow their kids who they have sent to school to acquire knowledge to be sexually abused by their teachers. She pleads for the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Governor of Edo state, and Nigerians to intervene in the matter, as the school has allegedly threatened to expel the victim, her sister because she brought the issue to social media. She is seeking justice.

However, this issue stirred a lot of reactions from people on the internet. While some accused her of chasing clouts, some also blamed her for allowing her sister to enroll in the college even with the prior knowledge that there was an alleged pedophile as a teacher. These set of people believe that the whole situation could have been averted if she hadn’t allowed her younger sister to attend the school. The other people are sympathizing with the lady and are pushing that justice should be melted and the alleged pedophile should be sent to jail.

This case is however the first complaint of sexual assault in the college.
