In a recent meeting with journalists, Prof. Rasheed Na’Allah, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), revealed a significant milestone achieved by the institution. More than 1,000 students have taken the initiative to register their private companies with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Prof. Na’Allah expressed his pride in the university’s collaboration with the Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighting their primary objective of encouraging students to not only obtain academic certificates but also become successful entrepreneurs. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need for students to shift their mindset away from dependency on the government and embrace a proactive approach to building their own businesses.
Moreover, Prof. Na’Allah extended an invitation to potential investors interested in the university, proposing the construction of hostels on the campus grounds. He assured investors of promising returns on their investments, signaling a mutually beneficial partnership.
