The Faculty of Law has achieved a remarkable victory at the 2025 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, held in Washington, D.C., United States of America.
The winning team comprising Joel Pajiah, Osarieme Oreye, Mofeoluwa Joda, Princess Omoregie, and Temioluwa Agbonwaneten—had earlier dominated the Nigerian National Rounds, securing top prizes including Best Counsel of Nigeria. This qualified them to represent the country.
Competing virtually against eighteen other countries, Team Uniben delivered an outstanding performance, emerging as the overall best team in the international competition. Their victory has brought great pride to the University and Nigeria as a whole.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN, congratulated the team and the Faculty of Law for their impressive feat and urged them to continue striving for excellence and recognition.
