The University of Benin has officially released details of its Post-UTME and Post-Direct Entry (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. The screening is scheduled to hold from September 1st to September 6th, 2025 at designated Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres within the Ugbowo Campus.
According to the announcement signed by the Registrar, A.A. Bobola, the exercise is strictly for candidates who applied through JAMB and selected UNIBEN as their first choice, with JAMB scores of 200 and above.
In addition, candidates must possess a minimum of five credit passes and not more than two sittings in English Language, Mathematics and other relevant subjects. The university also emphasized that only candidates with valid email accounts should proceed with the application process, which officially opens at 8:00 a.m. on August 4th, 2025, and closes at midnight on August 22nd, 2025.
Applications must be submitted online via the university’s website: www.uniben.edu. The application involves a step-by-step procedure, beginning with registration using the candidate’s JAMB number and score, followed by payment of a ₦2,000 screening fee (excluding portal charges) through the Remita platform. No corrections will be accepted after final submission.
Candidates are expected to return to the portal on or after August 27th, 2025, to check their specific screening date, time, and venue. They are to arrive at the screening venue at least one hour before their scheduled time, coming alongside their acknowledgment slip and screening invitation slip. The use of mobile phones and calculators during the screening is strictly prohibited.
The screening will be grouped according to the following faculties and disciplines:
Group 1 – Physical Sciences: Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Technical Education, and Statistics (Pure Science).
Group 2 – Life Sciences: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and related fields.
Group 3 – Social Sciences: Social Sciences, Education (Social Sciences), Library and Information Science, Guidance and Counseling, etc.
Group 4 – Management Sciences: Management Sciences, Economics, Estate Management, and related programs.
Group 5 – Arts: Law, Arts, and Education (Arts).
The University reiterated that any payment made after the deadline of August 22nd, 2025, will render the candidate ineligible for screening. For further details and updates, candidates are advised to regularly visit the university’s official website.
