The NSASA Fest, an eagerly anticipated event, is still in full swing, captivating students and faculty alike. The festivities entered their third day on the 26th of July, 2023, which was dedicated to the spirited Jersey Day. Students were seen donning their favorite team jerseys, adding to the vibrant atmosphere at the Education field.
The highlight of the day was the much-anticipated soccer match between the NSASA Kings and the NSASA Queens. The game kicked off promptly at 10:40 am, with both teams fielding eleven players each.
In an intense encounter, the NSASA Queens took the lead early on, securing two goals through penalty kicks during the first half. The first penalty was awarded for an inadvertent handball, while the second was given for a foul involving a side kick. The NSASA Kings, despite their valiant efforts, failed to find the back of the net during the initial 45 minutes.
As the second half began, the NSASA Queens continued their attacking momentum, adding another goal to their tally. The Kings tried to stage a comeback, but the Queens proved too strong, scoring three more goals during the remainder of the match. The final score stood at an impressive 5-0 in favor of the NSASA Queens, securing their victory.
Following the conclusion of the exhilarating match, the trophy was presented to the triumphant NSASA Queens, who displayed exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the game. Several standout players from both teams were awarded medals in recognition of their outstanding performances.
The excitement did not end with the soccer match; other thrilling games and competitions took place throughout the day. Some participants engaged in exhilarating running competitions, showcasing their athletic prowess. Additionally, music filled the air, adding to the festive ambiance and ensuring everyone had a great time.
