On Friday, 28th June, 2024, Nollywood legendary actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu was buried in his hometown in Amuri, Nkani West local government area of Enugu.
Family and friends of the late actor were present in the burial to pay their last respect to the legend. Former Governor of Anambara state, Peter Obi was present at the Burial ceremony of John Okafor.
John Okafor, before his death suffered from a prolonged illness that led to the amputation of his right leg before his death on March 2nd, 2024. John Okafor died from Cardiac arrest, he was 62 at the time of his death. John Okafor Was married to Stella Maris Okafor until his death.
John Okafor was one of Nollywood’s best actor known for his comic acting. He acted in over 200 movies, Starring along side late Sam Loco Efe, Late Amaechi Muonagor, Osita Iheme, charles Okafor, amongst others. His notable works include “Mr Ibu” “Police recruit” “Keziah” and many more
