The Edo State Police Command has apprehended a suspected murderer of a graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Miss Glory Adekolure.
Glory Adekolure, a recent graduate of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, was reported to have gone to submit her project work on 13th June 2024, but her remains were discovered under a tree on a street located in the Iyowa community of Benin City, Edo State capital.
Fifteen days after the death of the deceased, the Edo State Police Command announced that the suspect has been apprehended in Delta State. This announcement was made by the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, in a chat with Channels Television on Friday evening. He said the suspected murderer was caught and arrested in Asaba, Delta State capital.
Adegboye said the suspect has not been paraded yet as an investigation into the incident is still ongoing. According to the Commissioner of Police, the suspect confessed to having murdered at least seven other young women.
