The UNIBEN Halls of Residence held their elections today to deliver into office, students who will head the various hostels in the University of Benin.
The election which was scheduled to commence at 9am on Saturday, began at 10am across the various halls of residence. ACJ UNIBEN learned that the office of the Mayor was the only office with oppositions and all other offices were contested for unopposed.
In Hall 2, Olagunju Juliet Jelilatu won the position of the Mayoress with a total of 322 votes while her opponent Eucharista Ovbiagele had 144 votes. Babalola Mary Adenuola won the position of the Deputy Mayoress with a total of 345 votes while Charity Aideyan won the Financial Secretary position with a total of 329 votes.

Keystone Hostel: Kess
NDDC Hostel [Male]: David Irabor
NDDC Hostel [Female]: Glory Enabulele
