Professor Joel Abolagba of the University of Benin has been conferred by the Fisheries Society of Nigeria, FISON, its highest award of Fellowship of the Society.
This was made known by the public relations unit of the University of Benin in a statement released on Tuesday.
“The Investiture held in Yola, Adamawa State, at a grand ceremony marking the 18th Fellowship Investiture and Awards,” the statement read in part.
Professor Abolagba is the former Deputy Vice Chancellor, Ekehuan Campus, University of Benin. He is also a Professor of Fisheries and Aquaculture and is Director of the Tetfund-Powered Centre of Excellence in Aquaculture and Food Technology, University of Benin.
