In the spirit of sport and patriotism, the Lagos State Government has made available a mega viewing centre at Mobolaji Johnson Arena ahead of the Nigeria Super Eagles’ clash with their South African counterparts, Bafana Bafana, in the semi-finals on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

The viewing centre is among 25 others that have been set up by the State Government to encourage and assist residents of the state in enjoying this football tournament.

The semi-finals match is scheduled for 6 PM at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake, Cote D’Ivoire.

Expressing the importance of fans in Lagos State viewing this match, the State Commissioner of Information and Strategy said, “Lagos, being the sports capital and the base of the largest supporters of the Super Eagles, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu deemed it fit to provide an opportunity for all fans to watch the match.

Mr. Governor expressed hope that the national team will triumph in the match because the team has so far shown capacity and technical know-how to win.”

Apart from the mega viewing centre in Onikan, other centres are located and spread across the cities of Lagos.
