In an effort to combat cultism within its community, the University has announced its annual Anti-Cultism Campaign Week, scheduled to take place from Wednesday, 19th June to Friday, 21st June 2024. The events will be held at the Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus, and the 500 Lecture Theatre, Ekehuan Campus.
The campaign aims to involve all Faculties, Schools, and Institutes, with activities culminating in the annual UNIBEN Prays event on Friday, 21st June 2024. To facilitate maximum participation, the University Management has approved a lecture-free period during the scheduled campaign hours for each designated group.
Management has issued the following directives to ensure successful participation:
1. Attendance Requirement: Deans and Directors must ensure that Heads of Departments, staff, and students attend the events scheduled for their respective Faculties, Schools, and Institutes.
2. Supportive Speeches: Deans and Directors are required to deliver short speeches supporting the Anti-Cultism Campaign on their scheduled dates.
3. Grand Finale Attendance: Deans and Directors must ensure the attendance of staff and students at the grand finale, UNIBEN Prays, on Friday, 21st June 2024.
The University Management urges all concerned to treat the contents of this announcement with the utmost seriousness and ensure full compliance. The schedule for participation is attached.
