The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence in Leadership by the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for his exemplary leadership, selfless service, and professional excellence.
The award was received on behalf of the Vice Chancellor by the university’s Acting Bursar, Mr. Gabriel Osadolor.
According to the memo released by the PRO of the University of Benin, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire on 3rd March 2025, the award highlights Professor Omoregie’s dedication to using his legal expertise to support education, community service, and other worthy causes, as endorsed by the Society’s President, Professor Matthew Wegwu.
