The appointment of Professor Peter Ndidi Ebeigbe as the 23rd President of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria has received commendation from the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Lilian Salami. Notably, Professor Ebeigbe, an alumnus of the University of Benin’s School of Medicine (Class of 1994), holds the distinction of being the first alumnus to assume this prestigious position in the College’s history spanning over 50 years.
Professor Salami praised Professor Ebeigbe for his outstanding qualities of hard work, tenacity, and excellence that have not only brought honour to himself but have also reflected positively on his alma mater. The Vice-Chancellor expressed her best wishes for Professor Ebeigbe’s success in his new role, acknowledging his investiture scheduled for the 1st of March in Lagos.
Currently a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Delta State University, Abraka in Delta, Professor Ebeigbe is also recognised as a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. The Vice-Chancellor hopes for his continued robust health and strength as he undertakes this significant responsibility.
