The University of Benin Medical Students Association (UBEMSA) mourns the sudden loss of their student, Miss Aisosa Blessing Okunbor, a delegate member of the MED170 class, whose sudden passing has left the whole medical community in deep sorrow.
In an official statement released by UBEMSA on Thursday, 24th July 2025, the association described Miss Aisosa as not only a promising medical student of the faculty, but also a source of laughter. “Her dedication, kindness, love, and commitment to medicine will not be forgotten,” the official statement read.
The President of UBEMSA, Irabor O. David, and Secretary General, Ojomo O. Jeremiah, extended their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and coursemates of Aisosa, assuring them that they are not alone in their grief.
The association encouraged students of the faculty and beyond to honor her memory by attending her procession, which is scheduled to hold on Friday, 25th July 2025, with convergence set for 9:30 a.m. in front of TETFund LT, UBTH.
Miss Blessing Okunbor Aisosa’s passing is not only a significant loss to her classmates and association but to the entire UNIBEN medical community. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
