On July 29, 2023, an impactful program was launched at Hall 2 car park at the University of Benin. Commencing at 9:00 am, the initiative was designed to cater to the health needs of students, providing assistance for various ailments such as toothaches and eye problems. Notably, crucial tests on HIV/AIDS and Syphilis were administered by the esteemed Red Cross Society.

Collaboratively organized by the Red Cross Society and the Nigerian Optometry Students Association at UNIBEN (N.O.S.A), the program aimed to address medically related issues faced by University of Benin students. The event further offered valuable services like weight and height checks, genotype tests, and blood group assessments, providing students with essential insights into their health profiles.

With the ambitious goal of conducting numerous tests for over 1000 students, the society worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being of the University of Benin community. This laudable endeavor allowed students to gain a better understanding of themselves and their health, empowering them to take charge of their well-being.
