The physical demonstration which has rocked the University of Benin has entered a day two as students persist on holding tight to their new movement until their demand is met.

Our correspondents who were on the protest take – off spot at 7am on Wednesday morning gathered that the students who felt embittered and victimized were captured trooping out in their numbers for a continuation of their protest.

One of the protesters who confided with our correspondent disclosed that students have been ordered to vacate the various halls of residence on or before 12 noon on Wednesday until further notice.

Meanwhile, as the students converge to continue what they described as overhaul against indiscriminate increase in school fees, security agencies have arrived the school premises.

The men of the Department of State Security Services, the Army and the Police were seen mounting strategic points around the school in order to forestall breakdown of law and order by hoodlums.

This is the second day of the massive protest embarked upon by the students of the University of Benin in order to press home their grievance over inconsiderate hike in school fees by #20,000.

As of the time of filing this report by the Association of Campus Journalists, University of Benin, the students have barricaded the Lagos – Benin expressway and vowed to disrupt commuters and academic activities until their demand is met.
