In a show of commitment to ensuring the welfare and security of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) students, the leadership of the National Association of University Students, Campus Monitoring Committee, Edo State (NAUS Edo State CMC) paid a courtesy visit to the Anti-Cultism Squad in Ekpoma.

According to a communique signed by the NAUS Edo State CMC Chairman, Comr. Prince Eseosa Destiny Osahon, the purpose of the visit was to express gratitude for the dedicated efforts of the Anti-Cultism Squad in safeguarding the lives and property of AAU students and to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The memo stated, “During our visit, we introduced ourselves for proper recognition and emphasized the importance of working together to protect the interests and welfare of university students. We highlighted the NAUS motto, which stands for JUSTICE, PEACE, and ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, and explained how these principles are interconnected.”

The CMC further explained that achieving justice for students requires collaboration with student leadership, and maintaining peace within the student community is essential for academic excellence. The memo, made available by the Publicity Secretary, Comr. Timothy Friday Agene, acknowledged the indispensable role played by the Anti-Cultism Squad in preserving this peace.

During the meeting, the Anti-Cultism Squad assured the NAUS Edo State CMC delegation of the Squad’s full support whenever their assistance is required.

In addition to expressing gratitude, the NAUS Edo State CMC offered recommendations to enhance the relationship between the Anti-Cultism Squad and students. They stressed the importance of adopting an approach that fosters trust and confidence among students in the Squad’s activities.

The meeting concluded satisfactorily, with both parties agreeing on the significance of collaboration and dialogue to maintain a safe and conducive academic environment for students at AAU.
