The National Association of University Students (NAUS) Edo State Axis has released a zoning arrangement for its upcoming NAUS EDO Campus Monitoring Committee Elections. This decision aims to ensure a setting where equitable representation and participation from all member institutions in the state are visible.

According to the announcement, the key roles of Chairman and Secretary General will be taken by Ambrose Alli University (AAU). The University of Benin (UNIBEN), however, has been allocated the positions of Deputy Chairman, Deputy Secretary General, Public Relations Officer, Director of Sports and Socials, and Director of Gender and Campus Affairs. Edo State University, on the other hand, will hold the Treasurer and Director of Legal and Advocacy Matters positions. Meanwhile, Mudiame University has been assigned the roles of Financial Secretary and Director of Digital Economy, Science, and Technology, while the National Open University of Nigeria, Edo State, will fill the positions of Director of Transportation and Special Duties and Director of Exchange and External Affairs.

The zoning is expected to foster balanced leadership and provide all member institutions with a fair opportunity to contribute to the NAUS Edo CMC election process. Students from the respective institutions are encouraged to take note of their allocated positions and actively participate in the forthcoming elections.

This zoning announcement demonstrates the NAUS Edo State Axis’s commitment to fair representation and inclusive governance. By ensuring that all member institutions have a stake in the election process, the CPC aims to create a democratic, equitable, and inclusive leadership structure for the organisation.
