Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebohlo, on Friday, November 15th, 2024, appointed Hon Gani Audu as his Chief of Staff with immediate effect.

Hon Audu’s appointment was publicized by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, which was contained in an official communication signed by the Secretary to the State Government,t, Musa Umar Ikhilor. Hon Gani Audu, in his new role, will assist the Governor in driving vital reforms for the people of Edo state.

Audu’s appointment comes 72 hours after the Governor’s inauguration, making it the fourth appointment by Governor Okpebohlo.

It can be recalled that Hon Gani Audu was a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Etsako West Constituency 1 from 2015 – 2023. He was also a deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2020 Edo state governorship election.
