The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has issued a stern warning to newly admitted students to complete payment of their acceptance fees on or before Monday, November 10, 2025, or risk losing their admission.

In a statement released on Friday, the university emphasised that admitted candidates must strictly adhere to the directive to avoid forfeiture of their admission offers.

“Admitted candidates are strongly advised to strictly comply with this directive, as the deadline for payment of acceptance charges is Monday, November 10, 2025.

Any candidate who fails to complete the acceptance process on or before the deadline shall forfeit the admission offer, and such vacancies will be allocated to qualified candidates on the waiting list,” the statement read.

The announcement comes amid concerns over recent fee adjustments in the institution, which have sparked reactions among students and parents.

UNIBEN reiterated that only candidates who have paid their acceptance fees and completed other admission formalities will be recognised as bona fide students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
