The Federal Government has rolled out a series of events to mark this year’s Democracy Day. The details were unveiled on Sunday, 9 June 2024, in a notice by Abdulhakeem Adeoye on behalf of the Director of Information and Public Relations Officer to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The celebration begins with a symposium on Tuesday, 11 June, at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 9 am. It will be followed by a youth conference at Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja, at 6 pm.

Events on Wednesday, 12 June, will feature a grand parade at Eagle Square, Abuja, starting at 8 am, followed by a dinner at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 6 pm.

The notice further stated that only accredited correspondents will be granted access to cover the events at the Presidential Villa. Further updates as the celebration approaches will be provided, the notice read.
