For the second time this week, Academic Staff Union of Universities have met with concerned bodies to deliberate a resolution to its ongoing strike.

ASUU leadership met with the Senate president on Monday, 12th October as they discussed the dispute between the academic body and FG. The senate president, Dr. Ahmed Lawan urged ASUU and FG to shift grounds to allow versities open.

In the meeting held today between ASUU and FG, progress was made as FG had agreed to put ASUU’s “UTAS” payment software to an integrity test.

“Meeting resumes tomorrow between ASUU and FG.”

“We’re making progress and we urge you all to remain hopeful as we bring a favourable solution to end the ongoing strike” , ASUU updated via its official twitter handle.
