The incessant killings across the country seem to be taking a wider dimension by the day as the great and small is being enlisted as target for the heartless criminals.

Nigerians have woke up again to receive another shocking news. This time, it is the gruesome murder of Ahmed Gulak, who is a political adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Ahmed Gulak was said to have been assassinated on his way to Owerri Airport in Imo State. Confidential sources revealed that the Adamawa state indigene was on a response duty to an invitation by northern elders in Imo state when he waylaid.

The unfortunate killing of Ahmed Gulak has generated spontaneous reactions across the northern and eastern part of the country.

Nigerian police force in Imo state have since described the incident as an arch work of mindless bandits in the state.

Although the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) have been fingered as culprits, the group have swiftly debunked the allegation.

According to IPOB, the murder of Ahmed Gulak is a political assassination, therefore, Governor Hope Uzodinma should be held responsible.

Meanwhile, the northern youths forum has given a two weeks ultimatum to the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous crime or be declared a persona non grata in northern states. On whose authority would the northern youths declare Uzodinma a persona non grata? One may ask.

Again, could it be that the murder of Ahmed Gulak who is a PDP faithful was truly politically motivated as claimed by IPOB?

What about the assertion by the Police command blaming bandits for the untimely death of Ahmed Gulak?

Could be something about the death of Ahmed Gulak that Nigerians are yet to know?

Who killed Ahmed Gulak?

Nevertheless, in the coming days, more reactions will keep trailing on concerning the assassination of Ahmed Gulak; until then, it remains the sole responsibility of our security agents to hastily get to the root of this matter by detecting the brains and hands behind this dastard act and bringing them to book.
