The Times Higher Education has unveiled its 2024 World University Rankings spanning across 108 countries, featuring 15 Nigerian universities.
In the Nigerian rankings, Covenant University holds the top position, while the University of Benin secures the 9th spot. Notably, the University of Benin had previously occupied the 6th position in the 2023 rankings. This decline serves as a wake-up call, urging the institution to prioritize infrastructure development and policy enhancements to foster a more conducive academic environment while ensuring the delivery of quality education to its students. It is evident that the University of Benin’s management must be proactive in their efforts to propel this esteemed institution up the ranking table in the coming year.
