On Friday, September 29, 2023, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State appointed Mr. Ekene Aninze as a Special Assistant on Investments. Ekene Aninze, a University of Benin alumnus and Law graduate, previously served as the Attorney General of the Students Union and President of the Federated Union of Ndokwa Students (FUNS) at the University of Benin.

This appointment was made by the Governor’s office as part of a series of appointments, and Ekene Aninze, who hails from the Ndokwa ethnic group in Delta State, is among the young individuals selected by the Governor.

In a quote, Ekene Aninze encouraged University of Benin students, saying, “When diligence and perseverance are your guiding principles, you are bound to achieve great things.
