University of Benin’s SUG Director of Welfare, Comrade Omoruyi Destiny, has launched a commendable initiative known as the “School Fees Relief Scheme”. This comes in light of the economic hardship and rising cost of education, which has posed a substantial challenge for many students and their families.
In a newsletter from the office of the Public Relations Officer dated February 28th and signed by Comrade Osadolor Divine Osarumen, addressed to the general public, the theme of this initiative is “EVERY #200 Shapes a Scholar”.
The aim of this initiative is to solicit support and donations from the general public to ensure that every student gets the education they deserve.
This will be seen as a welcoming initiative as it will certainly have a significant impact on the lives of students in the University of Benin community.
