As the long wait for the VC cup games finally comes to an end, fans and students are set to be treated to epic and mouthwatering matches between teams.
This year’s VC cup promises to be intriguing as the 16 faculties lock horns for the ultimate prize. The thrills, tension and defining moments all sums up in anticipation. Who will wear the crown?
In the preliminary round which saw all 16 teams paired together in a two-legged tie, 8 teams progressed to the group stage. For the male category, group A features reigning five-a-side champions Education, runners up Arts, Agriculture and Basic Medical Science. Group B comprises tournament favourites Engineering, heavyweights Social science, Management science and Life science. For the female category, group A features reigning five-a-side champions Education, Ekehuan and Engineering. Group B features, runners up Social science, Life science and Management science.
