The Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie SAN, has declared lecture-free hours for students regarding the SUG Election holding on Thursday, July 24th 2025. This is aimed at ensuring a smooth conduct of the election holding online.

This information was contained in a memorandum release in the late hours of Wednesday, July 23rd 2025, signed by the Registrar, A.A Bobola. The memo stated that all lectures across faculties, departments and institutions are to be suspended between the hours of the election, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The decision is intended to ensure students full participation in the electoral process.

All academic units are here by advised to comply accordingly, as well as share the information across to faculties, department and institutes.
