As a reaction to the recent cases of theft in the Halls of Residence, the Students’ Union Government of the University of Benin created awareness in Hall 2 today, 8th of February, 2022.
As at 7pm this evening, members of the Students’ Union body of UNIBEN responded to the rampant cases of stealing in the hostels and said that whoever is found guilty of such offences would be punished severely by the security department after their investigations.
Also, in consideration of the welfare of students living in hostels, they urged every occupant to be security conscious and to prioritize their safety by locking their doors, reporting to their rooms early and avoiding late walks. They also stated that issues concerning bad doors should be duly reported to the SUG Director of Welfare.

The said, “EFCC, is to begin their meeting with students by 11am on February 9, 2022 in Feature Iyayi hall.”
