Lekki Massacre acted in Uniben Auditorium on 11th of June 2021.
Francis Morgan Academy (FMA) which started on the soil of Benin in UNIBEN is the first film institute in Nigeria to stage the Lekki Massacre event. This is history. UNIBEN surely has bred and is building heroes, oh great UNIBEN.
This play is to consciously remind us that the persons who died at the Lekki toll gate, did not die for nothing, Francis Morgan said, in his opening speech.
Is it history we claim to study in Nigeria, when many are swept under the cover? This cannot!
Many lost their lives, many were injured, many went whole and came back incomplete.
These same people who claim to secure our lives and properties are taking it without our permission.
Humanity has lost its course in Nigeria. The police are your friend they keep shouting, they are for security measures, and they close by 6pm?!!!
Oh, Joy turned sorrow, homes became hunt ground, street became fighting arena, peace went on vacation, what are we left with?
The Nigeria you and I live in today, is founded on blood shed, of noblemen and women.
These people were not fighting for themselves alone, but Nigeria as a whole; young, old, fat, thin, were slain. Then we say peace and Unity shall reign. How on Earth?!!!!
Oct 20, 2020, just one night, souls were slain, purpose, dreams, were shattered, dinner turned sour, air went short of oxygen as the smell of blood took over the atmosphere.
What a pain? History will have no mercy on us, if we choose to àct as if it was nothing. Memories shed bitter tears as hundreds, were forcefully sent into her World?.
This day, we shall not forget. We remain Nigerians and we will continue to fight until we sleep and wake in solidarity.
