The University of Benin is set to inaugurate the 2024/2025 Students’ Union Parliament and elect its principal officers, marking the official commencement of the new legislative session.

The University of Benin Student Affairs Division has announced the inauguration and election of its principal officers for the 2024/2025 Students’ Union Parliament.

According to a memo issued by the University of Benin Electoral Commission (ELECO) and signed by the Dean of Students, Professor Frederick O. Ekhaise, the ELECO Chairman, and the Secretary of ELECO, Emakhu Daniel, the inauguration is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 30th July 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Senate Chamber.

The memo invites all duly cleared parliamentarians to attend the official inauguration and the subsequent election of the Students’ Union’s principal officers for the new academic session.
