The University of Benin has, on Friday, April 4 2025, officially announced that the university-wide mid-semester test for the 2024/2025 academic session (Full-Time) will be held from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9, 2025.

This information was disclosed in a statement issued by the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. V.O. Igbineweka.

According to the statement, the test will be conducted through CBT mode, in line with the university’s academic calendar.

The Heads of Departments are therefore requested to submit 200 objective-type questions with answers in soft copy. The questions should proportionately cover all first-semester taught courses in each academic programme and level.

The submission should reach the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) on or before Friday, April 25, 2025.

However, this statement has sparked academic tension on campus. Students are therefore advised to begin preparation as early as possible. A post going around among students amusingly notes, “It’s getting tougher… You nor go read Keh?”
