In a significant development, the University of Benin today, 2nd July 2024, received an edifice built and donated by a staff member, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof Augustine Enofe.

Named the Faculty of Management Sciences Multi-purpose Complex, the donor, Prof Augustine Enofe, Dean of Management Sciences, expressed that the complex is to posthumously honour his late younger brother, Monday Atewe Enofe, who was an inspiration to many.

Prior to the commissioning of the project, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof Lilian Salami, expressed wholesome appreciation to the donor, stating that it was truly remarkable and therefore joyful that such an initiative was happening during her tenure as Vice-Chancellor of the institution. She praised Prof Enofe for his benevolent spirit and for the sacrifice of giving back amidst the present economic realities.

The Pioneer Dean of the Faculty, Prof Emeritus Bob Osaze, and a former Dean of the Faculty, Prof Ifuero Osad Osamwonyi, praised the exceptional contributions of Prof Enofe to the development of the Faculty of Management Sciences and admonished him not to relent.

The multi-purpose complex building houses three significant centres: the Lilian Salami Conference Hall, the Bob Osaze Cafe, and the Monday Atewe Enofe Lecture Theatres.

The complex is powered by solar energy and boasts other modern facilities, including free internet service.
