UNIBEN: Power restored, Academic activities set to commence soon.

The University of Benin’s power has been restored and academic activities are set to resume soon.

Contained in a memo signed by the Electoral Secretary of the Students’ Union Electoral Commission, Collins Obhiozele, it was made known that the electricity supply has been restored and the University is still on the Band A feeder.

Recall, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company had disconnected the University’s electricity which led to the protests by students of the institution as regards the continued power outage and the subsequent shutdown of the academic activities.

The students of  University of Benin are applauded for their understanding and are urged to prepare to resume to their academic pursuit.

“As we work diligently with the management towards a successful resolution, we encourage all students to prepare themselves mentally for a transition back to academic life”, the memo read.

While it has been confirmed that power has been restored, students are urged to prepare themselves for the continuation of academic activities as exams is around the corner.
