The National Association of Agricultural Industrial and Production Engineering Students (NAIPES), University of Benin mourns the sudden death of Adedoyin Toluwase Jesus, a 400-level student of Industrial Engineering, in a tragic accident.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, August 1, 2025. The incident which was described as a fatal accident that claimed the life of the young promising student.
Adedoyin was a member of the National Association of Agricultural Industrial and Production Engineering Students (NAIPES) at UNIBEN. He was known not only as a student of UNIBEN but also as a friend, brother, and cherished colleague.
In an official statement released on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, signed by Akahomen Joshua, the president of NAIPES and Odaro Clarence, the Secretary General, the association expressed deep sorrow over the loss. His absence will be deeply felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. The statement reads: “We wish time would slow down just enough for us to hold on a little longer to say the things we didn’t say, to share one more laugh, to remind him how loved and appreciated he was.”
The association has thereby called on all students to keep Adedoyin’s family in their prayers and offer any support possible during this time of grief.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
