In an effort to address the long-standing issue of water contamination in Hall 1, a group of paid men took action to clean all available water tanks in the residence hostel on August 4th, 2023. Prior to this intervention, the tanks were in a deplorable state, causing students to express deep concern over the presence of particles in the water, posing a serious threat to their health and safety.

With mopping sticks and buckets in hand, a dedicated crew of armed men worked diligently to clean each tank in every block that provided water to its residents. Particularly in the reserves, one man would enter the tanks to draw out the water while another, stationed above, disposed of it.

The successful clean-up operation brought immense relief to the students. However, there remains uncertainty among them about the sustainability of this effort. Many wonder how long it will be before these armed men are called upon again to carry out another clean-up. Will it be after an academic session or possibly even two?
