The Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA) Parliamentary arm of the University of Benin has invited to a lunch date, the UNIBEN 300-level Students of the Department of Foreign Languages, who recently returned from a seven-month program at Badagry. The students, who performed remarkably well at the event, bagging several awards, were invited to a Lunch date via a welcome address by the FASA Supreme Congress. The address/invitation, duly signed by the speaker of the FASA Supreme Congress, Aziegbemi Demudia Henry, said the Lunch date will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
“The parliament will not forgive herself if she do not officially welcome our students who have been away for a long time, back to school. It is with great joy that we welcome our foreign language students who just came back from Badagry on Sunday,” the statement read.
“The 300L students of Foreign Languages department have been in Badagry for about seven months. While in Badagry, they did not only excel in academics but also made the department, the faculty and the school at large proud. A quick recap of their achievement while in Badagry would suffice:
They won the French village tournament, Mr French village, Miss French village, Miss French village 1st runner up, Mr French village 1st runner up and many more awards.”
Appreciating the students for a job well done, the congress said, “The parliament wants to use this medium to thank you for making the school proud and for the safe return. It is on this note that we would be having a Launch on Wednesday, the 3rd of August at Uniben food court (aka BUKKA). Time: 2pm. Please, all arrangements have been put in place by the speaker who would be coming all the way from Asaba, Delta state to host us. Just come and enjoy.
“Welcome back once more.”
