The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Benin (UNIBEN), is set to hold its 1st Distinguished Lecture Series on Tuesday, 9th September 2025, at the University of Benin Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus, Benin City.

 

The lecture, starting at 10:00 a.m., will be delivered by Prof. Martins Emeje, PhD, FAAS, Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA) and former Vice-Chancellor of the European University of Nigeria (EUN).

 

Prof. Emeje, who holds degrees from Ahmadu Bello University (B.Pharm) and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (M.Pharm, PhD), will speak on: “Translational Research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences: Bridging the Gap Between Academic and Industries.”

 

The event will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of UNIBEN, Prof. Edoba Bright Omoregie, SAN, while the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Ighodaro Igbe, will serve as host.
