As the October 17th SUG election draws near, preparations and campaigns by aspirants are intensifying each day. In line with the regular practice prior to the SUG election, the Uniben Debate Society is set to host the Aspirants Coming Together (ACT) Debate 2024.
The event, scheduled for Tuesday, 15th October 2024, will be a virtual session held on X Space at 8 p.m. prompt. The 2024 Aspirants Coming Together (ACT) Debate will be the 5th edition since its inaugural edition in the 2019/2020 academic session.
Aspirants Coming Together (ACT) is a programme in which aspirants vying for executive positions at the SUG level come together to share their ideas and vision for the Uniben community, answer questions from panellists and students related to academics and students’ welfare on campus, and provide insights on how to resolve common problems faced by the students and foster a conducive academic environment. It helps to shape students’ perspectives on their choice of candidate and plays a key role in influencing students’ decision-making when electing their representatives.
