The University of Benin has officially commenced the application process for the Part-Time Degree/Certificate programmes. This opportunity is open to qualified candidates seeking to pursue Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and Certificate programs in various Faculties and Institutes of the University.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
The application period is from 7:00 AM on July 26, 2023 to 12:00 midnight on August 31, 2023.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are required to meet both the General University Admission Requirements, which apply across all Faculties, and the Specific Faculty Admission Requirements. Detailed information can be found on the University website: www.uniben.edu. To be eligible for admission into the various part-time degree programs, candidates must satisfy the stipulated general and specific admission requirements.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
The application process for the 2022/2023 session involves the following steps:
- Register as a Part-Time Candidate at any JAMB CBT Centre to obtain a JAMB Registration Number.
- Visit either www.uniben.edu or waeup.uniben.edu.
- On the UNIBEN.EDU SITE, select “Student Portal,” then navigate to “The Waeup Portal.”
- Ensure a valid e-mail account is available before initiating the application process.
- Click on “PART TIME STUDIES APPLICATIONS 2022/2023.”
- Select “Register for application” at the top left corner of the page to proceed.
- Provide all required information, noting that fields marked with * are compulsory.
- An immediate email will be sent to the provided email address, containing a system-generated ID and Password for login.
- Visit uniben.waeup.org and click “Login” (top right of the front page). Enter your login credentials.
- Initiate the application process by clicking “Edit application record,” providing all necessary information, and uploading a passport photograph.
- Upload a clear 1” x 1” COLORED passport photograph with a red background in JPEG format. Failure to upload the specified passport photograph will result in disqualification and forfeiture of admission.
- Pay the application fee by clicking “Add online payment ticket,” then selecting “Pay with Remita.” Follow the instructions to pay the fee using an ATM-Enabled Verve or MasterCard from any commercial bank.
- Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. Once submitted, applications cannot be edited.
- Print out the application slip for your records.
While candidates may not be required to write an Entrance Examination, screening will be based on the O’ Level/JUPEB/Diploma results.
Note that no application for admission shall be valid without a Jamb registration number.
Candidates can check their admission status online two weeks after the application deadline.
