The University of Benin has announced the commencement of admission into Diploma Programme in Maritime Studies, and Information and Communication Technology for the 2022/2023 academic session.
Interested applicants are required to visit www.waeup.unibenedu/applicants/dp2023 and pay N14,500:00 (Fourteen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira, only) to apply. No entrance examinations will be written for this programme, according to the school management.
Students who complete this programme with a minimum of Merit become qualified for Direct Entry into 200 Level in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science (Computer Science, Mathematics (Pure and Applied), Industrial Mathematics, Mathematics with Physics, Mathematics with Chemistry, Statistics with Computer Science, Physics, Geology and Industrial Physics), Faculty of Education (Department of Vocational and Technical Education) and Library Studies as well as similar Institutions in the country.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Credit in Mathematics, English Language and three other subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Biology/Agricultural Science and Geography) at GCE/WASSCE/SSCE/NABTEB/NECO
•City and Guilds (Part 1) in any area of Engineering.
•A qualification equivalent to any of the above.
The registrar, Ademola A. Bobola, mnim, fcipm; has stated that forms are expected to be processed on or before the deadline, 30th May, 2023. He also warns that attention will not be given to any application form not properly filled.
