In a recent announcement, the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has set the date for the matriculation ceremony for the 2022/2023 academic session. The Vice Chancellor of the University has confirmed that the matriculation will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11A.M in the Akin Deko auditorium, the University’s main auditorium.

The matriculation will be a hybrid event, with limited in-person attendance for select students and parents, while the rest can participate virtually. The link for virtual participation will be provided by the Director of ICT/CRPU before the event begins.

Deans of faculties have been instructed to choose thirty students from each faculty to represent them at the matriculation ceremony, with only two students of each faculty signing the matriculation register during the event.

Additionally, an orientation programme for new students (100L) has been scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2023, under the guidance of the Dean of Students, Professor Clement Ighodaro.
