The UNIBEN 5-Aside held its fourth day match lineup on Monday, March 31, 2025, at one of its major venue, Liberty Stadium in the Aminu Kano Residential Hall (Hall 3).
The first match kicked off at about 2pm, featuring the female teams from the Faculty of Arts and Environmental Sciences. The game ended in a draw (1 – 1) with no team securing the victory seat.
The female teams of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Engineering also had a fixed match with Life Sciences securing shocking goals, leaving the scores at three (3) goals to one.
A spectator, in an interview with the ACJ UNIBEN correspondence, expressed shock at Life Sciences’ wins, emphasizing how ashamed he is of the goals scored against the Engineering team.
“I wasn’t expecting Life Sciences to score because they were looking untrained, but they shocked everyone”
The last fixed match was played by the male teams of the Faculties of Engineering and Life Sciences. This match brought tension as the audience anticipated the winning team. The male team of the Faculty of Engineering came in determined to win, after their female team lost. They secured three goals during the first half and a goal in the second half, leaving the scores at four goals to one.
The match concluded at about 6pm with the audience’s cheers as they anticipate the match lineup for Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
