The 18th CMESBAHF National Conference, themed “The Scroll,” which was held at the University of Benin, brought together different students and professionals for a very transformative and impactful experience that focused on healthcare, research, and career development.
With sessions led by top-tier experts, like Prof. Izuchukwu Okafor, Dr. Nathaniel George, and Dr. Olaniyi Olugbemi, and a host of others, participants were made to explore various topics ranging from biomedical innovation to scholarship preparation and global health trends. Practical issues and matters like Nigeria’s healthcare challenges and solutions such as partnerships and mentorship were also discussed a great deal.
However, the highlights of the conference included moments like the career guidance from Dr. Kelechi Ezeudensi, a powerful impartation session by Dr. Gabriel Afolayan, the unveiling of new national executives, time for networking amongst the students, lunch breaks and a host of others.
Described as insightful and empowering, the conference successfully combined academic, spiritual, and leadership growth for aspiring health professionals.
