Reports indicate that the situation at the University of Benin has taken a different turn, with students damaging a car during their ongoing protest.

According to eyewitnesses, the students asked the driver to stop, but he refused and hit one of the students, prompting the protesters to damage the vehicle.

The incident has heightened tensions, with soldiers deployed to the main gate and a standoff between students and university authorities continuing. The students are demanding improved living conditions and respect for their rights, while the university management has yet to respond to their demands.
