The National Assembly has unsealed the office of Senator Natasha Akpoti Nduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, as of Tuesday, 23 September 2025.
The move ends Senator Akpoti Nduaghan’s six-month suspension, which had been enforced by Deputy Director and Sergeant-at-Arms, Alabi Adedeji.
The office had remained sealed since 6 March, following the Senate’s decision to suspend the Kogi Central senator over alleged misconduct and violations of Senate rules. Recall that on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Senator Natasha was denied entry into the House of Assembly after attempting to resume her senatorial duties.
It remains unclear who authorised the removal of the seal or whether Senator Akpoti will be allowed to resume duties in the Senate on 7 October, particularly in light of her ongoing legal case against Senate President Akpabio, which has yet to be resolved.
