Innoson Automobile Company has withdrawn the scholarship offered to Mmesoma Ejikeme after the investigation proved that she manipulated her 2023 JAMB result. The commission set up by the Anambra State Government found that Mmesoma increased her scores from 249 to 362. The scholarship was said to have being offered to her for scoring the highest in 2023 JAMB with a score of 362.
The company said in a statement that it was deeply disappointed by outcomes and therefore withdrew their scholarship. The commission also recommended that Mmesoma should tender a written apology to JAMB, the school (Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi).
It is not certain what will happen next for Mmesoma Ejikeme. She could face disciplinary action from her school or JAMB or she could also face criminal charges. The commission’s report has also been sent to the Inspector General of Police for further investigation.
