The Induction Ceremony of the Association of Campus Journalists, UNIBEN Chapter, took place today, March 29, 2025, at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences. This event commemorated the official welcoming of the association’s new members, who have shown the potential to carry the association’s vision forward.

The induction ceremony started at 1:00 PM with the opening prayer and the welcoming of everyone present. The event was hosted by CJ Anita Okoeko, who then called on the president for her welcome address. The president welcomed the dignitaries present and members of the association. She also emphasized the importance and benefits of campus journalism.

The pioneer president of the association, Mr. Collins, gave an oration concerning the background of the association, its mission, and its vision. He ended his talk with the phrase, “Keep the ink dropping.” A short and enlightening speech was also delivered by the Founding Father of ACJ UNIBEN, Mr. Ayoola Adeleke.

The inductees were called out by the Secretary-General of the association, and the membership oath was sworn. Each inductee received a membership ID card, and they were encouraged by the president to be committed and uphold the integrity of the association.
