As the protest embarked by the students of the University of Benin gets more intensified, some of the students have gained access into the Vice Chancellor’s office.
The students who made their way into the premises of Prof Lilian’s Salami’s office at around 10am were seen chanting songs and beckoning on the Vice Chancellor to address the students.
Our correspondent who was at the scene reported that the Vice Chancellor was not on seat, hence, the students were unable to get a response.
It would be recalled that the students of the University of Benin had on Tuesday resumed a massive protest over what they described as an inconsiderate hike in school fees.
The demonstration which has witnessed a huge turnout continues today after the school management has failed to address the agitating students and ordered vacation from the halls of residence.
